Throughout his presidency President Barack Obama has been plagued by rumors that he's not authentically American and, thus, isn't rightfully in office. Not only have right-wingers questioned that Obama was, in fact, born in the U.S., they've also refused to believe that he's a practicing Christian. Instead, they allege that Obama is a foreign-born Kenyan and a secret Muslim who very likely harbors anti-American sentiments. Well, now that President Obama has announced that he initiated a military operation in Pakistan that resulted in Osama bin Laden's death, will the right stop fueling racially-tinged attacks that undermine the president's authority?
David Frum, formerly a special assistant to President George W. Bush and author of Comeback: Conservatism That Can Win Again, asked as much in a recent piece for CNN.com.
"The success of the bin Laden operation is a great moment for the United States," he said. "...But it is also a deservedly bad moment for some of the destructive forces in American public life, for those who have substituted for ordinary politics a sustained campaign to brand Obama as an outsider, as un-American, as non-American."
The fact that Obama took action that directly resulted in bin Laden's whereabouts and death should put any idea that the president is not truly American to rest, Frum posits. Although Frum is himself a conservative, he objects to right-wingers labeling Obama with such racially-tinged terms as "Third-world dictator, "Kenyan post-colonial" and "thug in chief." He calls out those on the far right who've portrayed President Obama as "a dangerous dark-skinned intruder," not only for fueling racism but also for not rooting their objections to Obama in conservative principles.
What will bin Laden's death mean for Obama? Will it lead conservative fringe groups to stop suggesting that the president was born outside of the U.S. or that he's a secret Muslim? Will it lead right-wingers to stop emailing images of Obama portrayed as a chimp? In short, will bin Laden's death finally inspire his detractors to treat him with the respect he deserves as president?

Comments
No.
There is nothing… no action, no words, no logical framework… that will stop the hate filled attacks on Obama.
These people have decided that he and all african americans are less than human and will warp reality to justify their perspective.
Hate comes first and then the justification and “rationalizations”. And then comes denial and the silence of the majority.
It is the same thing with homophobia. These are the reasons why someone like Erwin McManus, the pastor of Mosaic LA, can equate homosexuality as being as natural as “pigs eating their young” (ie. Infanticide and cannibalism) and still have 20-somethings follow him like he is the new messiah.
All it takes are ignorance, hate, a few loud mouths…. and the silence of the “well meaning” people.
Similar to Hamas, Neo-Nazis and the Muslim Brotherhood…
It is our responsibility as reasonable adults to keep on fighting the good fight and calling the ignorant and hatefilled on their ignorance and hate.

(((( Is this a good enough answer your looking for ? )))
i been tracking and recording this for years…
seems the banker owned american government cant get its lies strait.
they should learn to lie better then this… hahahaha
I did not read the article-WONT.
To answer the question, from the title- NO I don’t think it will stop- The racist Comments.
He is yet still, African American.
That is “something” that will be commented on JUST BECAUSE.
It does not matter whether he does good or bad- he will not be given a “fair” chance no matter what.
AND WE- are the UNITED states. Key word- United.
Politics is a nasty business. Some folks label Obama as “Kenyan-born” or “an American fraud” are often involved in the politics of such things and nothing more. There is very often no racist component to much of it. I think of Donald Trump and his shanigans. How much of it is clearly racist? The “birther” crap is indeed crap, but it is very possibly nothing more than politics, and someone either looking for an edge, or just attention.
I think most folks will call-out the stuff that has Obama characterized as a chimp. Anything relating to his race should be off-limits. And I think it is off-limits to those who criticise Obama.
I am equally annoyed by those who will see a criticism of Obama and declare it racism. I think Obama himself would say the same thing.
As for the Bin Laden thing, it should be understood that Obama called the shots on the whole operation. He rightly (in my opinion) declared that the photos of the deceased Bin Laden would not be released to the public. All told, it was a high risk but flawlessly executed ending to Bin Laden, all orchestrated by Obama. And for the record, Obama deserves all the props for pulling it off. Of course many people will want to cheer Obama specifically because he is a “black” President. And therein lies the other side of the coin, for racial boasting beckons racial criticisms.
Nothing President Obama can do will stop the racist attacks on him. N O T H I N G. He is a duly-elected Black man with a “foreign-sounding” name in the While House; there are fellow citizens of our country who will never get over that. There are plenty of policy points anyone can make disagreeing with the POTUS. His enemies almost never make them. They go right for the name-calling and racism. They engage in “othering”. It’s tiresome. I’d have more respect for the GOP and other anti-Obama citizens if they could actually articulate policy issues they have with the president, but they go for the cheap racist attack every time. And then, they pretend that a photo with chimpnzees representing President Obama’s family isn’t racist. You can discuss anything with such closed minds. It’s hate, pure & simple.
These attacks will never cease. Had Obama been White, he would have won the previous election with the greatest majority in history. Recall too that it was just 20 years ago that David Duke won every sector of the White vote in Louisiana except those with graduate degrees. Do you really think that if people are voting for David Duke, they’re going to relent on their attacks towards Obama?
I also think it’s a mistake on your part to ask Ms Davenport to resign. I think it’s good to keep someone like that in the forefront of the Republican party as it shows how out of touch with reality or how dishonest she and those who supported her were. After all, she herself said that she understood that it would offend some people and so didn’t send it to everyone for that reason. What was the reason she thought it would offend some people exactly? I’m disappointed no one every asked this of her. Far better to let this percolate several times.
This is the most ludicrous piece of tripe I have seen in a long time. People do not hate Obama because of race. They hate him because he is an incompetent, self-important, arrogant blithering idiot that has done more to destroy America than any President in history.
